Meirion Evans finsihed a respectable 7th on the recen Mid-Summer Caerwent stages near newport. It was Evans' first ever visit to the challenging venue and he lied 5th after the opening loop of two stages. However he was soon overhauled by Matthew Thompson and went into the last stage only 3 seconds behind Ellis Belton. Evans lost half a minute on the last stage and had to settle for a comfortable 7th place.
